Thanks to my friend, Carla Ray, I have received a recipe for an actual Italian tradition, which really isn't called alfredo at all. And, did I really need a recipe, probably not with just two ingredients! Who knew, right?
Apparently, Italians have been eating just butter and Parmesan cheese on noodles for a long time. So simple, so good, yum yum.
And homemade fettuccine doesn't hurt much either! (Have I mentioned that I love my I pasta maker, recently? Cause I do!!)
So, here's the recipe. Got a pen? It's a long one.
1/4 pound Parmesan cheese (I used block Parmesan and shredded it)
1 stick of butter
A little pasta water, you be the judge
Mix, mix, mix and then stir together with fettuccine.
Then eat blonde brownies. My Kitchen Aide got a work out tonight!
